Welcome and Help

SummaryThe four ways to start, the examples you can click, and where to find them again.

The Welcome opens when you start Embroidery Breeze. It offers four first steps, each with three examples you can click. Help shows the same four whenever you want them, plus a link to this website.

The Welcome

The Welcome asks What would you like to do first?

  1. Create a new design. Draw shapes, add text, and fill them with stitches on the hoop.
  2. Open a design. Your own files, and the free designs in the Library.
  3. Use a font. Type on the hoop with a digitized font.
  4. Digitize a font. Turn a font on this device into stitches.

Click a card to do that. The Welcome closes first.

Under the cards:

  • Visit embroiderybreeze.com opens this website: guides, an AI assistant, free designs and fonts, and other designers.
  • Don't show this next time stops the Welcome from opening when you start the app. Tick it, then close.
  • Close goes to the hoop. Escape, or a click outside the Welcome, does the same.

What each card and picture does

Each card shows three pictures. A click on the card does the card's job. Some pictures open something of their own.

Card Click the card Click a picture
Create a new design Starts a new, empty design Same as the card. Trace, Shape, and Import show ways to begin.
Open a design Opens the Library Opens that design on the hoop. These are usually designs that come with the app.
Use a font Picks the Text tool. Click Add text in the bar. Adds the word Hello in that font, ready to type over.
Digitize a font Opens the Font Digitizer Opens the Font Digitizer, already digitizing that font from this device.

If the design on the hoop has unsaved changes, Create a new design and a design picture ask first: Save, Don't save, or Cancel.

The fonts under Use a font are ones that come with the app, such as Riverside Script Satin. Typing with them is in Lettering. Making your own is in Digitize a font.
